SERVICES ARE TEMPORARILY BEING HELD UPSTAIRS. THE ENTRANCE IS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE CHAPEL (TURN RIGHT AT THE FRONT DOORS WHICH CANNOT BE USED) FOLLOWING THE SIGNS.
PLEASE TAKE CARE USING THE DOORS AS THE OUTSIDE DOOR IS VERY CLOSE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS AND ANOTHER DOOR INSIDE.
THE STAIRS ARE THE ONLY WAY OF GETTING TO THE FIRST FLOOR. WE APOLOGISE IF THIS CAUSES YOU DISAPPOINTMENT. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS WHAT WE COULD DO TO HELP.
For a three month trial (February, March and April) we will hold the Ordinance of The Lord's Supper at the time of the evening service (6.30pm) on the first Lord's Day of each month, when the pastor will take the whole service from the table. The order of service will be: First hymn; Reading; Prayer; Second hymn; Sermon (in place of the previous communion address, and as helped by the Holy Spirit applicable to the ordinance); Taking of the Bread and Cup; Third hymn; and Benediction.
All the hymns will be sung by the whole congregation. The length of the service is not expected to be much different to other services here.
We are a Strict Baptist church and the taking of the communion is reSTRICTed to members of the church who have been by baptised by immersion , professing their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Visiting members of other churches of the same faith and order are asked to speak to the pastor or deacon before sitting at the communion table.
If you have any questions or would like to talk about this or any other matter, please contact the pastor.
Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.
1 Samuel 7 v12.
All are welcome to come to the services.
"Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."
Psalm 100 v 3-5.
